RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 21 (Xinhua) -- Teenage Botafogo forward Luis Henrique Lima is close to joining Olympique de Marseille, according to reports in the Brazilian press.
The 18-year-old will travel to France this week to undergo a medical and finalize contractual formalities, the Globo Esporte news portal said on Monday. It added that the deal exceeded 10 million euros (12 million U.S. dollars).
Luis Henrique has made 21 appearances for Botafogo and scored twice since making his first-team debut for the Rio de Janeiro club in 2019.
He has been sidelined since September 2 because of a groin injury.
Marseille, who are managed by Portuguese Andre Villas-Boas, currently have no Brazilians in their squad.
