RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Brazil international forward Bruno Henrique continued his rich vein of form as Flamengo secured top spot in their Copa Libertadores group with a 3-1 home victory over Junior Barranquilla on Wednesday.
Matheus Thuler put the hosts ahead by bundling home from close range and Brazil under-20 striker Lincoln doubled the lead just before halftime with a superb volley.
Teofilo Gutierrez pulled a goal back for the Colombian team with a sliding effort after a counterattack, before Henrique nodded in his 14th goal in 28 matches this season.
The result at the Maracana stadium meant the Brazilian outfit finished the group stage with five wins and a loss from six matches. Junior were left third in Group A with two wins and four losses.
Independiente del Valle, who beat Ecuadorian rivals Barcelona SC 2-0 earlier on Wednesday, also advanced to the last 16 from Group A.
In Group F, Argentina's Racing Club overcame Estudiantes Merida of Venezuela 2-1 and Uruguay's Nacional clinched a 2-0 home win over Peruvian side Alianza Lima. Both Racing and Nacional had already secured a place in the next round.
Elsewhere, Guarani - who had already secured a berth in the last 16, won 3-2 at Bolivar - and Group B leaders Palmeiras routed Tigre 5-0.
