SAO PAULO, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- The exchange of knowledge and ideas within BRICS -- Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa -- is key to deepening relations between media organizations in those countries, an expert has said.

"I have been very impressed with the synchronicity and convergence of ideas and suggestions among the BRICS at this meeting," Jose Juan Sanchez, president of Brazil's financial and agricultural information provider CMA Group, told Xinhua, referring to the fifth meeting of the presidium of the BRICS Media Forum, which was held by videoconference.

The president said that at this time of the pandemic, BRICS media outlets must cooperate in gathering and revealing the truth.

"I am very happy to be able to witness the great changes that are taking place in the world ... and take advantage of experience and creativity to promote innovation," said Sanchez.

At Monday's meeting, Sanchez proposed an initiative to exchange media professionals among the bloc's five members and establish a guideline on cooperation.
